Our Spring and Summer Shootouts are both held at the Portland West Golf Course These fun competitions are among the highlights of the year, and everyone has a chance (through skill or luck) to win a prize in the following categories:

• Fewest putts (Remember a putt is any stroke taken ON THE GREEN)

Our annual Club Championship takes place at the Portland West Golf Course. Prizes are awarded for the low gross score and the low net score. Since most players do not have a USGA handicap, the Callaway one day handicapping system is used to calculate net scores. This system has worked very well in the past in grouping all the scores in a close range, thus giving everybody a chance to win.

• Lowest gross score is the club champion


• Lowest net score determined by the Callaway one day handicapping system


• Please remember to put your first and last name on the score card before dropping it off


• Double par maximum score for any hole


• No putts conceded


• No Mulligans

Our year ending scramble takes place over a two week period at the Quarry Ridge Golf Course. Members can participate in either one or both weeks.

Four man teams are randomly selected for each week, and the team plays its best ball all the way from tee to green. That is: each member tees off, one of the four drives is selected and each of the four team members plays their second shot from that location. The team then selects the best "second shot" and each team member plays their third shot from that location. This format continues until the team holes their putt. The team which has the lowest gross team score is declared the winner. In event of a tie, the teams will engage in a "putt-off" to determine the winner.

• Teams will be selected by random drawings


• Best ball. No Mulligans


• No putts conceded


• Your team must use at least three tee shots from each player. (four tee shots if only a three-man team)


• The first putt holed determines the score for that hole (Don't tap in a missed putt until all your team members have taken their turn).
